Dustin Scruggs is a Tennessee registered Professional Engineer and graduate of Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. Dustin is widely recognized and respected throughout the engineering community and has amassed a wide range of skills and experience over his career as a Professional Engineer. From critical lots to the most high-profile projects in Middle Tennessee. Dustin has experience as design engineer, reviewer, and owner.

During his time as a Design Engineer, Dustin was the Engineer of Record for Franklin’s Harpeth Square Development and Ramsey Solutions. In Murfreesboro, Dustin worked with City staff to permit additions for the St. Thomas Hospital and in Nashville Dustin has worked on countless projects including a 300-unit apartment complex, Oxford Commons, Preliminary and Final SPs including Delta Ave and Goodrich Ave, and various critical lots and HPRs throughout the City.

Dustin is intimately familiar with working with Municipal Staff as he has worked with and for both the City of Franklin and the City of Nashville directly as a site plan reviewer.  During his time with the City of Franklin, Dustin reviewed hundreds of site plans, worked with developers, and presented cases to the Board of Mayor and Alderman. As a third-party consultant, Dustin reviewed dozens of site plans for Metro Nashville Stormwater compliance.

As a Project Manager for the Metro Nashville Airport Authority, Dustin managed consultants, budgets and design schedules for various capital improvements projects for the Nashville International Airport.

Dustin has is involved with the community. He has served on the Board of the American Society of Civil Engineers Nashville Branch since 2015 and is currently the President-Elect of the Branch. In 2019 Dustin was awarded both the Nashville Branch and Tennessee Section Young Engineer of the Year Award.
